We have developed a Mediloop- Pharmacy Store Management software which is useful in drug inventory management of a pharmacy. Inventory control of drugs plays a pivotal role in hospital management. Drug inventory control of hospital pharmacy is very essential in order to provide continuous supportive services. The inventory management of drugs is very essential, as it is adversely affected by the consumption rate and purchasing cost of drugs. Vital drugs are necessary to keep in stock to preserve the precious human life. In this paper an attempt has been made to categories the drugs by using ABC and VED analysis. Then, combined ABC-VED analysis was performed and the comparisons of results were presented. The result showed that combined ABC-VED approach is more effective in drug inventory management of a pharmacy store.
